PwC is one of the Big Four professional services networks, providing assurance, tax and advisory services through member firms in more than one hundred and forty countries. The present firm was formed by the 1998 merger of Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand, though both predecessors trace to the nineteenth century. It operates as a network of legally separate national partnerships.
