Huntington Ingalls Industries is the largest military shipbuilder in the United States and the sole builder of the Navy's nuclear-powered aircraft carriers. Its Newport News and Ingalls shipyards also produce submarines, amphibious ships and destroyers, and its Mission Technologies division supplies defence and intelligence services. The company was spun off from Northrop Grumman in 2011.
