About me
Ashley Olafsen is a published author, a TEDx speaker, a Huffington Post contributor, and most importantly a teenager who is passionate about self esteem, body image, media, mental health, and more. She is a social entrepreneur who has co founded a company called MOVE, in which she has delivered over 60 workshops and 2 week-long summer programs! Last year, she managed a 70 girl summer program as well as an all teenage staff of over 10 individuals. In addition to being a paid speaker, she also creates YouTube videos and writes frequently for several different platforms. She is currently finishing up her second book, preparing for two weeks worth of the summer program, and enjoying the many speaking opportunities she is grateful to have.
Ashley is a Sophomore at UMass Amherst and is designing her own major (Empowerment Through Education) as well as double majoring in Political Science, with plans to go into education reform and potentially run for office someday!
