About me
Nerkonda Paarvai, Pink's Tamil remake, is the most strong, socially appropriate movie starring a star of the stature of Ajith Kumar that has long emerged from Tamil cinema. While movies like Visaaranai, Aramm and Aruvi may have had a very strong effect with their content, it's certainly a large deal when a star like Ajith headlines a movie like Nerkonda Paarvai, a powerful reflection of our patriarchal society's archaic mindset and how it views autonomous females.
Three girls–Meera, Famita and Andrea–are running after what was supposed to be a fun night at a music festival turns into a nightmare when one of them (Meera) escapes Adhik, son of an important politician, from a molestation attempt. Meera attacks Adhik with a bottle in self-defense, and it nearly costs him an eye. From here on, for the girls who are constantly threatened by Adhik's colleagues, the nightmare starts until the matter is brought to trial.
