It’s been almost a year since I’ve attended the first MogulX event and can I just say that I was more than excited to see the announcement of MogulX 2019! When I attended the conference last September, I was at a point in my life where I wanted to be around more like-minded individuals and learn more about finance, wellness, and networking. I got that plus so much more from this event and I wanted to share some of my experiences with you. If you’re on the fence with deciding if this conference is right for you, read on to find out the 3 reasons every woman should attend the MogulX conference!
1. The amount of #Girlbosses in the room is incredible.
Before this conference, I honestly can’t remember the last time I was in a room with so many trailblazers, movers and shakers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and notable public speakers. I met so many women who were looking to accomplish goals similar to mine and women who I aspired to be. It felt overwhelming because I wanted to talk to every woman there!
The diversity in the attendees added such an in-depth experience of the overall conference. I went from feeling intimidating and not knowing what to expect to enjoying the beautiful personalities of moguls who wanted to create life-changing opportunities just like me.
2. I LOVED the diversity in classes.
Most conferences I’ve attended stuck to a particular theme like finance, business, diversity/inclusion, or health. This is the first (and quite frankly, only one I’ve seen so far) conference that covers many aspects of a millennial’s life such as creating a side hustle, finding a mentor, traveling on a budget, finding your purpose, mindful exercises, negotiating salaries, investing, and so many other classes!
Since there were so many great classes to choose from, I wrote out my schedule so that I didn’t miss any advice that could help me reach my personal and professional goals faster. For best success, I encourage you to do the same so that you won’t miss a beat.
3. It’s an experience like no other.
There were so many fun activities, gifts, Mogul merch, and (one of the best parts) delicious food. There was also a cool photobooth, a handy Mogul backpack with lots of surprises in it, and I got my book You Are a Mogul signed by Mogul CEO, Tiffany Pham!
Not to mention, the stellar staff at Mogul was there to help with any questions, directions, and they really added to the amazing experience there.
One thing that I did differently this time around the conference was grabbing my all-access pass so that I could check out the Mogul living room and talk one-on-one with the counselors there. I’m looking forward to that and to pen a future piece about the fun! I'm also looking forward to seeing some returning and new speakers. I grew up in a household that listened to Suze Orman’s great financial advice and to finally see her speak in person this September is surreal.
Bottomline, I left this conference not only knowing what kind of goals I wanted to set for myself, I also left feeling confident, supported, motivated, and ready to conquer my goals. As long as Mogul decides to have this annual conference, I’m pretty sure I’ll keep it on my bucket list!
