Hi, I'm Shayna :)

I am a Senior at Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland where I am the Co-President of its Mogul Club.  

I am extremely interested in public policy, environmental sustainability, social innovation and women's studies. 

At my school, I founded a Sustainable Urban Garden Initiative that will transform outdoor spaces into green learning environments, equipped with compost piles, water purification models, and space for student-run experiments. 

I've also attended the Israeli American Summer Hackathons for the past two years to work with entrepreneurial teens in combating global crises, such as water shortages around the world.

Committed to community service and empowering women, I founded Club PROVIDE which works to raise awareness for teenage domestic abuse, while partnering with the Family Justice Center Foundation to empower previous victims of abuse.

I'm also the Editor-in-Chief of my school's Yearbook, which allows me to combine my love for creative design, innovative journalism techniques, and writing.

I also LOVE going on spontaneous adventures and spending time outside.
