About me
My interest in fashion started in my early childhood, due to my mother's remarkable abilities as a seamstress and knitter. We grew up in very fashion conscientious (especially for women) society of Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Everybody looked great and the latest styles from Italy were few minutes away for the most competitive.
Along with an acute sense and desire for stylish clothing my Yugoslav relatives and friends also had a deep respect for art and design. Their homes were full of paintings, shelves brimming with antique and exotic souvenirs including some of the finest crystal/glassware I've seen. The fact that no one would let me touch this stuff left me in great awe of these items -- and also the desire to touch my own someday. My long interest in fine porcelain and glassware was intensified after marrying an American whose parents had a basement full of wonder. Their Czech decent and heritage demanded that they keep everything they ever bought, along with everything their parents had ever bought. There would be periods of disposal and rearranging. Upon my arrival, it was like walking into an antique store. Before passing on, the in laws graciously gave me full access to what has turned out to be the foundation of my inventory.
