As the Campus Talent Acquisition Lead for Canada, you will be guided by IBM's purpose – to be essential. Essential in your role as the Campus Lead, you will align yourself with the Early Professional Hiring team, Campus Talent Partners, and Business Leaders to develop and deliver on a talent acquisition strategy that identifies and engages the top talent in the marketplace. The Campus Lead role must be prepared to move quickly, to engage proactively, and to think strategically to deliver on crucial business commitments to our stakeholders.


Your goal is to oversee all new graduate, co-op and internship recruitment activity for IBM Canada. You will lead, coach and mentor a team of campus recruiters and coordinators, drive a signature candidate and hiring manager experience, while fulfilling demand for top university talent.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the relationship with selected universities, including the coordination of campus tours and sponsorship opportunities
  • Maintain and expand a strong network of internal clients, external vendors and networking partners to drive success on campus
  • Build and leverage external relationships with technical, diversity, professional associations, to help shape sourcing strategy and develop future talent pipelines.
  • Effectively communicate IBM’s candidate value proposition through strategic storytelling and brand advocacy.
  • Develop and execute diversity recruiting strategies to attract a diverse workforce to IBM by hiring the best talent from varied backgrounds, experiences and styles.
  • Own the IBM Canada internship program, planning events and activities across sites
  • Oversee the execution of the recruitment process, including, but not limited to pipeline management, offer execution, progress against the hiring demand and end of term activities
  • Effectively leverage social media tools in alignment with IBMs Social Media and Branding Strategy.
  • Manage and forecast to budget allocated to Talent Acquisition activities on Campus
  • Review and analyze data trends to propose new approaches to drive recruiting success
  • Set high recruitment standards ensuring operational excellence and compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, although HR and CHRP designation preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated recruiting experience including at least 2 years in sourcing or full life cycle recruiting.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in university recruiting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple demands while meeting all deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally, via email, informal discussions or formal presentations with all audiences
  • Demonstrated abilities to learn and use new tools to enhance collaborate and effectiveness.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills, especially Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Must be able to support travel up to 25% year round, with increasing intensity up to 100% in the fall season.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have access to a vehicle for campus travel.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the United States



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
