A longtime resident of the greater Houston suburb of Baytown, Texas, Jeanne Shipp graduated summa cum laude from Lee College with a degree in nursing. After graduation, she secured a state registered nurse license and began working at the Bayshore Medical Center in the Padsdens a suburb of Houston. Jeanne Shipp expanded into the field of medical administration four years later, becoming an administrator at the Elite Care Emergency Center in Houston, West University area.

Since cofounding Baymont Emergency Room in 2014, Jeanne Shipp has owned and managed this Baytown-based freestanding emergency room facility, which does business under the name Patients Emergency Room. In 2015, she expanded operations as the cofounding owner and principal of the Hospitality Health Emergency Room in Longview, Texas. Ms. Shipp went on to cofound three additional Texas medical organizations, all of which she continues to own. These organizations include the Hospitality Health emergency rooms in Galveston and Tyler.
