About me
As a lifelong practical idealist, I work to make things better wherever I go.
Therefore, after more than 10 years in corporate and nonprofit communications, marketing and special events planning, I earned an MA in International Studies from the Josef Korbel School at the University of Denver -- a global "top 11" graduate program -- to be better equipped to understand and contribute to our world.
I graduated in 2011 with concentrations in Communication, International Security and Human Rights -- plus coursework in Global Health, Economic Development, and Conflict Resolution.
I work as the Proposal Manager for a private company in northern Virginia that provides acquisition management, budget, investment, and IT personnel to federal agencies.
Additionally, through my freelance business, Hubbard Communications, I offer award-winning, competitively priced copywriting, copy editing, and publicity services to businesses and individuals.
I believe that human rights apply to all people, without exception. I donate to and volunteer with nonprofits that work to (1) stop the human trafficking (and other forms of slavery, violence, and oppression), and (2) promote peacemaking, resource sustainability, the education of girls in developing countries, and workable solutions to the gross inequalities that plague our planet.
