About me
Caitlin Figueiredo is a passionate change maker eager to shift the dial toward equality and empowerment. A youth and gender equality advocate, Caitlin is successfully driving inclusive opportunities to scores of young women and youth around the world. Caitlin’s dedication and international work led her to being named a Global Changemaker for Gender Equality by The White House.
A visionary advocate for the cause of unity, Caitlin founded World Vision’s youth movement VGen in Canberra and co-found the Pakistan Arts for Peace, which inspires young Pakistani women, and the wider community to engage with gender equality, build intercultural peace and help transition women and girls into the education system. A highly collaborative and creative thinker, Caitlin is able to canvas and engage a global network to effect change. This has attracted a number of international organisations to seek her assistance in supporting the growth of their impact; including UN Women, World Vision and World Merit.
Extremely passionate about sustainable development and the future of our world, Caitlin also serves as the Global Resolutions Australian Ambassador and an Ambassador to the Red Elephant Foundation. Caitlin is currently studying a double degree in Law (Honours) and Development Studies from the Australian National University. She was also chosen to represent Australian youth at the United Nations where her passion and sustainable vision was recognised by UN Women. Committed to public policy and institutional reform, Caitlin also applies her work ethic and influence at the United Nations as one of the youngest UN Inter-Agency Task-Force on Youth and Gender Equality members.
