About me
A project engineer in the natural gas industry, Ashley Merks studied industrial engineering at The Pennsylvania State University, where she received the Harold and Inge Marcus Manufacturing Scholarship and made the Dean’s List every year. As a student, Ashley Merks volunteered to chair the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, also known as THON, and played an integral role in raising $8,000 for the event.
Ashley Merks has fulfilled a variety of engineering and project management roles over her career, including quality engineer, project engineer, project manager, and advanced project manager. Today, she is a project engineer III at Equitrans Midstream Corporation. Additionally, she is working toward a master of business administration at The Pennsylvania State University.
Beyond her professional activities, Ashley Merks enjoys spending time with her husband and her pet Shar-Pei named Myron. Big sports fans, she and her husband have season tickets to Penn State Football and are constantly working to perfect the art of tailgating. She’s also an ardent fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Steelers, and the Tottenham Hotspurs soccer club, which she started following on a trip to London.
