About me
Growing up in the Philippines everything is about family and finding ways to support them. For me, I found the opportunity to give back by leaving my home and moving to Japan after graduating from university. At first, it was only supposed to be for a few months as I had a job lined up to be a flight attendant but now, 20 years later, I am still in Japan, can speak the language and have moved away from my first source of income (being an English teacher) to starting my own company called Arigato Japan.
At Arigato Japan, we run Food Tours throughout Tokyo and the surrounding area and hold Japanese cooking classes to give tourists a focused chance to experience some local food or learn how to make some of their favorite Japanese cuisine. This country has given me so much and I am thrilled to be in the business of sharing it with the world. I named it Arigato Japan because I am thankful and I hope my guests to feel the same way however long their stay may be.
Through my efforts to bring Arigato Japan to the world, I am able to support my family, be my own boss, and support the local and Philippine community with jobs both in Japan and back home. I enjoy getting up everyday to do what I do.
