About me
After graduating from BSSM in Redding CA, Amanda had the opportunity to work with multiple anti-trafficking organizations in Myanmar, Bangkok Thailand, and Tijuana Mexico doing anti-sex trafficking prevention, education, peacekeeping/diplomacy and outreach within brothels. After her international travels, Amanda felt the need to serve her hometown, moved back to Sarasota, FL and started working for Selah Freedom.
As Selah Freedom’s National Intake Counselor, Amanda is often the first point of contact for victims of sex trafficking who are reaching out for services. She is meeting women where they’re at on the streets, in the jails and detoxes and manages the 24/7 hotline phone. As the Global Training Coordinator, Amanda uses her international experience to educate, spread awareness and engage with international government agencies to assist them in bringing a light to the darkness of sex trafficking within countries. She also plays a role in meeting with and educating those within American government and legislation to ensure the highest form of justice is being executed on behalf of the women Selah Freedom serves.
