To date, during the presidential debates, the word “women” has been associated with their reproductive system, yet critical issues like women’s health, economic opportunities, and the epidemic of violence against women and girls remain eerily absent from these discussions.

And why we shouldn't even remotely consider voting for any woman who has taken money from countries who repress women. Hillary's track record is horrible. I could NEVER support someone with blood money from people who believe in genital mutilation, honor killings, depriving women of the right to drive and have an education. Here's hoping an elegant woman with a great track record who supports the need for women to have equal pay, better access to medical assistance, better access to birth control, better access to opportunities that support women who own/co-own businesses, who need safe, reliable, affordable child care, etc. Where is that woman? Or perhaps it is a man who supports those ideals. Then that person has my vote!

We are a nonpartisan group, and diverse in our political stances, so we're not pushing for one candidate over another. And one important thing to remember is that a woman in office definitely won't magically solve all women's issues. But it is about having a seat at the table, and we need to create ways equity and parity, and that means in leadership, too. And it is vital this election issue that we start expanding the definition of women's issues beyond reproductive rights (important but not only) so that we treat women's issues as the core, fundamental social and political concerns they are.
