Dubbed as one of Vogue's "33 Most Elegant Women in the World," People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful," and named Glamour Mexico's "Best Actress," Imagen Award-winning actress Ana De La Reguera is back on the big screen in the Warner Bros/MGM Pictures film EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING slated for a wide theatrical release on May 19th and in the highly-anticipated David Lynch reboot of the cult TV series "Twin Peaks" (May 21st on Showtime).
Based on the New York Times' Bestselling YA novel of the same name and from the studio that brought us ME BEFORE YOU and THE BEST OF US, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING follows 18-year-old 'Madeline Whittier' (Amandla Stenberg, HUNGER GAMES) who suffers from severe combined immunodeficiency and therefore cannot leave her house. Her world consists of her mother, her nurse 'Carla,' (Ana de la Reguera) and the books she immerses herself in. When a new boy 'Ollie' (Nick Robinson, JURASSIC WORLD) moves in next door, she begins to fall for him and learns that love makes life worth living. The highly anticipated film was recently named by Publisher Weekly as one of the "Most Anticipated 'Book-to-Film' Adaptations of 2017" and by Teen Vogue as one of "The Best Movies Premiering in 2017."
De la Reguera is also set to co-star in David Lynch's tight-lipped remake of the cult-favorite TV series "Twin Peaks" which premiered on Showtime on May 21st at 9pm ET/PT. Considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential broadcast series of all time, "Twin Peaks" followed the residents of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned when homecoming queen Laura Palmer was murdered. The new series picks up 25 years later. De la Reguera will additionally be seen on the 50 Cent executive produced Starz series "Power" which returns for Season 4 Summer 2017.
Most recently, de la Reguera co-starred in Netflix's hit crime-drama Golden Globe-nominated series "Narcos", as "Elisa," a leader with the guerrilla extremists who is also a real woman of the "Comuna" working with children in her community. Season one premiered to huge ratings and critical acclaim with Vulture declaring it "among the top five shows Netflix has put out to date," NY Daily News calling it "addictive," and Fortune describing it as "great entertainment and a satisfying binge-watching experience." She has also graced the small screen in major hits such as HBO's "Eastbound & Down" as Kenny Power's sexy love interest, "Vida," alongside Danny McBride, and HBO's critically acclaimed and Emmy Award-winning series, "Capadocia," alongside Dolores Heredia ("Vantage Point").
On the feature film front, she has starred alongside Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig in the Jon Favreau directed Cowboys & Aliens, produced by Steven Spielberg and Brian Grazer. De La Reguera has also starred opposite Bruce Willis in Cop Out, and Jack Black in Nacho Libre.
Ana is considered by Univision as one of the most influential Latinas in the United States, among women such as Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. She has graced the international covers of Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, GQ, Marie Claire, Esquire, and Elle, to name a few, and is the international face of CoverGirl, Pantene, Special K and Flip, Macy's Coca-Cola (Ciel), Pepsi (Be Light), Caress, Lipton Tea, and Kahlúa.
Without a doubt, Ana is quickly becoming one of Hollywood's leading ladies in American cinema and we are all the better for it. For more on Ana's career, keep up with her on social media via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
