Hello Fellow Moguls!!
As we start off the new week with classes (midterms are coming up soon, YIKES) and for those of you who are in the labor force, I've put together a list of my top feel good songs that make me feel de-stressed and most importantly, HAPPY!
1. Sunny- Bobby Hebb
Are you feeling full of love? This famous motown song will get you in the groove and give you the feels even if you aren't crushing on anyone at the moment ;)
2. Janet- Berhana
With Berhana's mix of R&B and soul, you can't resist how beautifully composed this song is. This will definitely be on replay and soon enough you'll start singing along with it in no time.
3. Wifeable (With Sax) feat. Xavier Omar- Masego
Masego's known for his awesome talent with the sax but this guy knows how to play other instruments and collaborates them into amazing songs. This catchy tune will make you scream "That girl right there wifeable, she gon' be my girlfriend!"
4. Innamission- Smino
Smino really knows how to turn a chill song into a beat that makes you wanna move your hips. Every time I play this on my way to class, I can't help but shake it.
5. Kamikaze- MØ
I discovered MØ when she sang Lean On with Major Lazer but never took the time to really listen to her music. When I just recently saw her on tour with Cashmere Cat, listening to Kamikaze live made me embrace the present and dance the night away.
6. Last Dance- Donna Summer
If you haven't noticed already, I love my 60's and 70's motown music but Donna Summer's Last Dance is an iconic disco song that will always be legendary.
7. Bittersweet- Carole King
Last but definitely not least, Carole King. Carole King has such a voice full of soul but is also soft enough to put a smile on your face. Her lyrics are always uplifting and can make the most dark days brighter. You gotta listen to Carol and "take the bitter with the sweet"
