On Wednesday, October 24th, the luxury reseller Fashionphile celebrated the opening of their new showroom in NYC at 958 Madison Avenue.
Guests included the brand’s Founder Sarah Davis, CEO Ben Hemminger, along with CassDiMicco, socialite Bethany Newell, Chris Obcena (Director of Visual Merchandising for Henri Bendel), WSJ’s J.R. Whalen, Accessories Magazine Editor in Chief Lauren Parker, Alison Zaccone of Bottomless Closet, Scott Davis the National Sales Director of J. Lindeberg Sport USA, among many other “fashionphiles”.
The evening was a true experience and designer (and Instagram!) heaven as guests mingled with a Prada Robot and gawked over Hermes skateboards, a jeweled Saint Laurent Guitar Case, Louis Vuitton Punching Bag & Matching Gloves, Chanel Raincoat (not for you, but for your bag!), Dior Saddle Bag, Louis Vuitton Secretary Desk, and the most coveted bag of all the Hermes Himalayan Birkin, along with a selection of your favorite designer handbags.
Additionally, just for fun, Fashionphile had an “authentication station” set up for guests to guess which bag is fake vs. real while they sipped bubbly and enjoyed bites by Sweet Basil Catering.
In theme with the evening, Fashionphile also partnered with the nonprofit Bottomless Closet and asked guests to bring gently used SHOES & BAGS to donate to the nonprofit, whose mission is to provide professional clothing, shoes, bags and even resume help and interview preparation to NYC women in need of assistance in securing a job.
If the Shoes & Bags were designers that Fashionphile can sell, 100% of the sale will go to Bottomless Closet. If they weren’t, then the items went directly to the Bottomless Closet.
All in all, it was a beautiful evening of fashion with a great cause…and a really fun gift bag!
