On Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at he Apple Store in Soho, comic book and movie fans were treated to a very cool panel with the remarkable women. The conversation was moderated with Entertainment Weekly’s Sara Vilkomerson and she asked questions as Patty Jenkins dives deep into her vision and creation of Wonder Woman with actors Connie Nielsen and Lucy Davis. She’ll also played clips from the film and share what it’s like to join the DC Universe.
Patty Jenkins is a writer/director best known for directing Warner Bros. and DC Comics’ Wonder Woman. She’s received Emmy nominations and won the DGA Award for best dramatic directing for her previous work.
Connie Nielsen is an actor and philanthropist with a career spanning three decades. Her diverse range includes roles on Law and Order: SVU, The Good Wife, Gladiator, Justice League, Wonder Woman, and more.
Lucy Davis is an English actress who became well-known for her role as Dawn Tinsley in Ricky Gervais’ comedy The Office. She starred as Etta Candy, sidekick and best friend to Diana Prince, in Wonder Woman.
As most DC Comics fans know, the movie Wonder Woman has been a huge hit. Director Patty Jenkins broke the record for biggest grossing live-action film directed by a woman, domestic and worldwide.
At the end of the panel, Patti Jenkins thanked the audience for coming and as a memory, actress Connie Nielsen took at selfie that included the attendees. It was a grand events and was a sure way to get fans excited about the next Wonder Woman film coming up.
