Today, I had the honor of celebrating International Women's Day by speaking at a meeting with the NYC mayor on gun control and school safety. To see students come together under these circumstances was upsetting, but I was proud to be a part of the generation that is going to change the law. I was so inspired by other students speaking out on issues like overpolicing of minorities, school safety threats, and a need for gun control that I am truly so proud of my peers for taking the initiative to go out there and make their voices heard.
No one will be able to say that we are "just teens" ever again.
I'll share pictures later!
