Mr. President,
At 14 I had a tumor on my thyroid but luckily with my parents insurance I was able to live thru this. My body was giving up toward the end but I was only 14 and still had so much more ahead of me. Yes my parents were in some debt because of this but not much. All that mattered was I was alive. Now I fight with my body everyday, unknown fevers, hives, chronic strep throat, etc. All of this they think is releated back to my thyroid since I still have part left and even that side sucks. Of course with the Affordable Healthcare Act I thought I'd be taken care of but no it hardly did anything to help and cost to much. Now with your plan it could get even worse. Why can't we have universal healthcare, why can't I be able to go to the doctor not worry that I'm giving up that weeks groceries or gas just so I can be seen. No one should die or struggle with money just to see a doctor. Parents will do anything for their children and mine did not care if they went into a small amount of debt to make sure I was still there my next birthday. But that was years ago and insurance cost have gone way up since. I can only imagine what parents have to give up now to make sure their children are healthy. Please do something to change this and make sure no one goes without healthcare.
- Insurance is such an important issue and has been on everyone's mind. I just hope that it doesn't become even more expensive and harder to get :(
