Nadine Ramos, CEO of Lasio uses her Love for Beauty and Professional Hair Care

CEO Nadine Ramos is truly a force to be reckoned with and her climb to success, epitomize the attributes of an American success story. Over a decade ago, Ramos began the journey toward a life of purpose as an accomplished businesswoman. The bold and confident Alphabet City, New York native embarked on an incredible journey that has resulted in nurturing her vision into a successful brand built on integrity.

On the discovery of the little known substance known as Keratin, Ramos challenged herself to recreate a salon friendly formula within US beauty regulations. Once she accomplished that goal, The Brazilian Keratin Straightening Company was born with one goal in mind: have salons all over the world using her product and women everywhere experiencing fabulous hair.

With limited funding, this self-made millionaire manifested her business from a dream into what is projected to be the next transcendent beauty empire. Turning a mobile service business into what is now the flagship salon, Keratin Lounge, located in New York’s Midtown Manhattan, Ramos superseded her own expectations when she grossed over two million dollars in her first year of business.

Using the financial resources garnered from the success of the Brazilian Straightening treatment, Ramos built a distribution company for LASIO® Keratin Treatments, known to date as one of the safest professional keratin straightening systems on the market.

The LASIO brand has since expanded with the introduction of HYPERSILK®, a line of keratin infused daily care and styling products, and Rio de Keratin® the beauty industry’s first do-it-yourself keratin treatment.

One vision sparked a global reach to seven continents and thousands of salons worldwide. With one mindset, never stop dreaming, Ramos continues to capitalize on her dreams.

Nadine recently added wife and mother to her list of titles and she is the epitome for balancing career and personal life! To keep up to date with Nadine and her company, you can follow her via social media on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

What do you think about Canada ?

    Montreal, QC, Canada

@Rachel Borowicz Most of us think he's a pretty good prime minister this far ,but we still find things to criticize him on ,nothing comparable to Donald Trump of course. We believe he is too egocentric, he loves taking pictures of himself and sometimes it seems like he's just trying to be like/better than his father (Also a former prime minister: Pierre Trudeau)

Why hasn't the U.S. ratify CEDAW yet?

President Carter sent CEDAW to the U.S. Senate for advice and consent in 1980. It remains in the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. The Senate has held hearings on CEDAW five times in the past 25 years but failed each time to bring the treaty to a vote on the floor. Why?
Conservative organizations, such as the Home School Legal Defense Associationand Concerned Women for America, vehemently oppose the ratification of all human rights treaties. They insist that human rights treaties violate American sovereignty. Thirty-eight Republican senators demonstrated this last December, when they refused to join their more moderate colleagues in ratifying the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
CEDAW establishes the moral, civic and political equality of women and protects women's right to be free from discrimination and violence. Thanks to CEDAW, these values have diffused around the world.
Conservative critics are wrong when they claim that CEDAW reflects radical feminist views. In fact, a Republican woman, Nixon appointee Patricia Hutar, persuaded the United Nations to draft CEDAW. On January 30, 1974, President Nixon called for the U.S. government to commemorate International Women's Year at all levels.

Has anyone used an air fryer?

    Mogul Influencer

    Top Answer

At first glance, deep fryers and air fryers seem quite similar. Both give regular food (such as veggies or pieces of meat) a delicious taste and crunchy exterior. However, the method a deep fryer uses (dunking food into a large amount of hot oil) is much different from that of an air fryer, which coats food with a little bit of oil then blasts it with hot air. If you love traditional fried food, the deep fryer could be your best bet. If you’re a bit more health conscious and want to achieve similar results without entirely giving up that distinctive fried taste and texture, an air fryer could be the optimal choice.
