This week , the MTV Staying Alive Foundation, in partnership with Dallas Contemporary and The Goss-Michael Foundation, hosted the inaugural New York preview for the sixth edition of MTV RE:DEFINE, an annual benefit & auction raising awareness for HIV & AIDS prevention. The private VIP auction preview and launch party, hosted by Ellie Rines, Andee Friedrich, Nicole Nadeau, and Arden Wohl, took place at Great Jones Studio. The event featured works by host artists Richard Phillips, Blair Thurman, Enoc Perez, Wendy White and Jay Miriam on view for the evening, as well as 60+ works available for preview and bidding with online auction partner Paddle8. This year’s benefit on March 24th in Dallas will honor RE:DEFINE founding partner George Michael, and an exclusive preview of a short tribute film in which Tracey Emin speaks about the history of her relationship with the foundation and with the iconic superstar was screened at the NYC event.Surrounded by tropical plants and soft neon lighting, guests enjoyed Fiol Prosecco and cocktails by VDKA6100 while DJ Paul Sevigny spun vinyl the entire evening, which ended in a dance party. Guests were gifted Aesop bodycare products and Paddle8 Eightballs at the end of the night.The RE:DEFINE 2017 auction is open for bidding online at Paddle8 through March 24th, 2017.
