Yesterday in San Juan, Puerto Rico, people from all over the island joined forces to raise awareness about the need to establish better gun reform laws and demanded change. Although Puerto Rico has the strictest gun laws from all the territories and states in the United States and are fortunate enough to have never endured a school shooting as impacting as the Parkland one, families and individuals that had been affected by firearm violence or people that wanted to contribute to the movement marched the streets of San Juan.
Another purpose, and perhaps a more sentimental one, was to "honor the memory of all the children and young people who have lost their lives simply trying to receive an education", as said governor Ricardo Rosselló. CPN students had the opportunity to take part in this event and march alongside civic organizations, religious groups, local universities, and more. We are proud to belong to a generation that is no longer standing by and that is demanding progress and a better system. #MogulCPN #NeverAgain
