It is humbling when anyone deems you a “changemaker.” However, when the brilliant station that has been responsible for celebrating and fostering incredible change within the New York City community and beyond invites you to be a part of their inimitable series, it is quite an honor. So, pleaseLet me share my HUGE APPRECIATION and gratitude for WPIX11 naming me one of their Changemakers. And a heartfelt thank you to the brilliant and beautiful news anchor, Tamsen Fadal with whom I had an incredibly thoughtful, raw and real conversation.
I sincerely hope that some of the issues we touched upon on our interview can help those who have dealt with sexual harassment or violence, feelings of self-consciousness or doubt, finding your voice, or learning how you feel, who you are, and how to love yourself unconditionally. It's time to show the world how strong, resourceful, incredible, intelligent, powerful and amazing we are when we come from a place of compassion. It’s time to recognize that change happens fastest when we allow ourselves to be supportive, open-hearted and loving towards one another.
