Since opening in 2015, Handcraft Kitchen & Cocktails has been focused on its mission: bringing excitement and innovation to American comfort food classics and the overall bar experience. This charge is carried out daily through a variety of signature dishes, an extensive craft beer list and fresh, inventive cocktails made from scratch.The first thing guests notice about Handcraft Kitchen & Cocktails is the décor – an artful mix of salvaged and recycled materials hinting at and paying homage to the history of an earlier time when things were handcrafted with pride and respect. The thing they remember is that every cocktail, beer and morsel of food is handcrafted with that same pride and respect. Each cocktail is a fully developed mix of alcohol, fresh juices, and homemade syrups and infusions. The Tokyo Drift (gin, sake, cucumber, lemon, fizz), Smoking Jacket #2 (mezcal, Campari, jalapeno cinnamon honey syrup), and All The Rum (aged rum, Navy Strength Rum, Velvet Falernum, brown sugar) are just a handful of the choices – all made with five ingredients or less, so guests are not waiting longer than necessary to enjoy a delicious, well-made libation. The rotating draught beer choices are all from New York State breweries and include the likes of Bronx Spring Pale Ale, Brooklyn Cider House, Kelso Carrol Garden, Saratoga Lager, Singlecut Does Anyone Remember Laughter IPA and KCBC Pineapple Gouse Sour. Signature dishes feature a few revamped American classics along with original creations. Buffalo Deviled Eggs (chicken, blue cheese, carrot, celery, buffalo sauce), Fried Chicken Sandwich (pimento cheese, pickled green tomato, kale, focaccia, cornmeal bun), Mac and Cheese (gruyere, asiago, bacon, kale, garlic bread crumb), the Game Changer (bison patty, wild boar patty, duck confit, brie, cherry chutney, brioche) and Truffled Fried Burrata (mushroom duxelle, arugula, herbs) are among the favorites. Brunch includes Eggs Benny Ranchero (pulled pork, crispy polenta, poached eggs, refried beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, chipotle hollandaise), a Croker (toasted brioche, gruyere, bacon, béchamel, smoked ham, sunny side up eggs, chives) and the Craft Skillet (Andouille sausage, smoked ham, Cajun spice, onions, peppers, home fries, scallions, two sunny side up eggs) along with French Toast, Steak & Eggs, a Breakfast Burger and the popular Hangover Plate (two eggs, sausage, hand-cut fries, cheese, meat hot sauce, onions, mustard, ketchup).
Handcraft Kitchen & Cocktails is open Monday 4 p.m.– 12 a.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 4 p.m.–2 a.m., Thursday 4 p.m.–3 a.m., Friday 4 p.m.–4 a.m., Saturday 11 a.m. – 4 a.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.–12 a.m. Private events can be accommodated.
