From UnCuffing the Uterus to The House Call for Self Care, This is... In Case You Missed It

Good Morning!  Because there are so many things happening  every single second of the day, We decided to create a new series called In Case You Missed It  where we post two News stories and some other information that we think some of our fellow Mogul Friends would like to be informed about:

What's Next? After Uncuffing the Uterus

It's been a year since the new fight between anti-abortion  and women's rights came to light and since then hundreds of laws have been passed, the video against Planned Parenthood first came to light, and where several Congress Members removed restrictive laws against now namely, the Hyde Amendment which tags on horrendous restrictions against abortions and Women's Health i.e ban on coverage, after what has been an amazing victory in the Texas abortion case many people are asking what's next for the movement?  Enter the #EACHWoman Act introduced in 2015. the act that respects choice and access. Mental Illness, Self-Care, and Paul Ryan's House

In an attempt to decrease the taboo that is, mental health/illness in the US.  The House of Representative passed H.R. 2646, the Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act a bipartisan act that changes the way the nation deals with families and citizens with mental health, they released a summarized press release last week and this morning, explained how they are taking steps to end the taboo and focus on the well-being of all citizens. Click to read more and tell us what you think.

Did You Know?

This leads us to this, July is Minority Mental Health Month, Mental Health is a general taboo subject and because of the stigma of mental illness, the cost of help, and poor quality many minorities do not receive the help they need. The National Alliance on Mental Health is trying to change that, looking for a way to get involved? On July 21st,  @WitnessesToHunger will be having a #WitnessChat to talk about the issues facing Minorities and Mental Health.

Even though we are a day late, we'd like to say, Happy Non-Binary Day! Check back next week for more news and updates!

Love that you all are doing this! Very informative and this is a really fun, easy-to-read style. I will be on the lookout for future posts in the series.
