As a result of the recent events in Charlottesville, Virginia, people have begun accepting the fact that without condemnation- hate has an environment to thrive in. Recently I've had the amazing opportunity to work with the #GirlsAgainstHate campaign- a campaign that is raising money for a scholarship fund in Heather Heyer's name.
Created by the Founder and CEO of MEYVYN, Maxxie Goldstein, those who wish to attend the Women's Convention but require financial assistance can apply for the Heather Heyer scholarship.
In memoriam of Heather, the #GirlsAgainstHate campaign will allow people the opportunity to directly combat the bigotry that took Heather from her fight far too soon. We must all join the fight against racially motivated violence. It’s all of our responsibility to ensure that Heather’s sacrifice is not in vain.
Everyone should have the opportunity to fight hate without economic restriction, and thanks to the #GirlsAgainstHate campaign, that hope is becoming a reality.
