Dubai is an avant-garde city with many private and public transit alternatives to get around the city in less time. There are many attractions situated in the same locality.

Let’s take a quick overview of the Dubai Airport

Dubai International Airport is ever-expanding and it is a favorite of any traveler. If there is a time period of about five hours or so, then you can probably explore a lot of things, including cafes, restaurants, and amenities that are close to the terminals and shops. Some people may love to go for a shower, whereas others would just prefer to use the free Wi-Fi service provided. Others may check in to the G-force health club. This is the primary port and is one of the important air traffic centers in the Middle East. There are 3 terminals and services at the airport. About 130 airlines offer flights to almost every destination across all continents except for Antarctica. While Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 have many passenger lounges providing varied hospitality services, Terminal 2 offers duty free shopping. Retail outlets and dining establishment can be seen in all the terminals.

This was all about Dubai Airport. Now let us consider some of the interesting sightseeing options near this area. Below given are some of the essential and impressive sights for one to explore Dubai.

Transit Tours- Passengers with a layover in Dubai can choose from a host of tour packages, conscientiously crafted by reputable tour planners. Besides being affordable, the most appealing fact of these tours is that they make it more convenient and easy for you to reach the city centre and also the desert without any hassle.

Burj Khalifa:

If you really want to view the whole city of Dubai at a glance, you need to take your footsteps towards Burj Khalifa. It is the tallest building in the world that is approximately 828 meters high. There is an observation deck which is located on the 124th floor of this beautiful building. The up going ride is indeed a thrilling and adventurous one since you travel at a speed of ten meters/ second on a speedy elevator. The view from the top is really magical at night, especially. There are modified telescopes to have a small glimpse into the future and past of this wonderful city. If you’re daring enough, then walk the perimeter and enter the open terrace to take an aerial view of the city. It takes about an hour or more to view the Burj Khalifa.

Dubai Fountain

This is the biggest choreographed fountain of the world that lies within the shadow of Burj Khalifa. These extraordinary fountains shoot water up to the height of 125 meters up in the air accompanied by music and light show throughout the day. You can see the dancing fountain from any point of the boardwalk and is an ideal location for in-transit leisurely walk.

The Dubai Mall

It is another must-see sight in Dubai that is jammed with indoor theme parks, restaurants, shops, movie theaters, kid zones, an underwater zoo and an ice rink. A simple walk through the mall will surely astonish and surprise everyone, as it suits all tastes and preferences. . Needless to say, people of all ages, including kids will be fully contented when they step out of here.

Al Majlis

If you are looking for a calm and quiet place to escape from the airport crowd, you can take a halt at Al Majlis. You need to make the booking a day before in advance to ensure your place among the limited 150. You can have some relaxation in the private lounge area, take some shower to refresh yourself, have tea that will energize you, and shop at the Duty Free.

Zen Gardens

The terminals are overcrowded and so it may become difficult to look for a place where you can sit and relax. For this, you need to look for a lounge. The newly developed Zen Garden is a good option in this case. It is a free place where you can sit and read and relax. Your walk will be more interesting and worthy when you view the soothing water features, blossoming tropical vegetation and out of sight misting machines. There are many seats available for all to calm and relax themselves from the heavy airport crowd. The Wi-Fi signal here is also very strong.

You need a visa to travel to Dubai. You can apply for a Dubai Visa from the Onlydubaivisa.com. The people who have visited here at least once say that there is no other place on this earth like Dubai. It is the most refreshing, thrilling and exciting place to see. This has tempted many people to go for a Dubai tour.

So, if you’ve not still visited Dubai, get your visa and be ready to explore the one of the most beautiful places on the earth.

Thanks for the article! Like anything else in UAE, Dubai International Airport looks even more luxurious than in photos. Also, it is the world's busiest airport by international passenger traffic. So, it is better to rent a car (in case you need one) in advance in order to avoid endless queues.

I had an 8 hour layover in Abu Dhabi last year and took the opportunity to wander around the city. There wasn't enough time to head to Dubai but maybe I'll plan my next layover there -- gorgeous sights!

This is so good to know! My goal is to start traveling the world but I went the opposite route as you. I joined the corporate world first then going to take steps to travel. Right now I'm using groupon to do little vacations here and there :) If I ever get to Dubai I'll be sure to check these spots out!
