She's an influencer, an actress, Instagram and YouTube star and someone many people have definitely heard about and may even follow, but this young woman takes her influence very seriously.
On Saturday, October 28, 2017, she used her voice to speak at the Synergy Global Forum for the Culture & Tech: Building an Empire While Empowering Others Panel. While speaking, it was clear this young woman was on a mission to build her brand, but she had no intention of doing it all alone. She seemed to want to be sure to empower others and take them along with her.
When describing her business, she, of course, mentioned her career as a YouTube star and actress, but quickly begin to discuss her most recent philanthropic effort in which she has gathered some of her amazing friends to join in raising money to help those affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. After she saw how do many people were affected, she knew she had to do something to help so many in need.
Her approach to creating her own brand while helping others is one thing that many successful CEOs do and Amanda wants to do all she can to follow some of their examples. While interviewing her, I asked her how, she handled the success of having such a large following with 17 million Instagram followers, 7 million Facebook followers, 1.9 million subscribers on YouTube, and 888,000 followers on Twitter. With this influence, she could just simply use for fun, but she emphasized that it is important to for her to create great content for her fans as well as help others through charity.
Her presence at the Synergy Global Forum has been a definite testament to her influence and goal to be a strong business leader for herself, employees and other people. This event was very much about disruption in business and if anyone could be considered a true disruptor, it is Amanda Cerny.
