Lately, I have been drowning in college and SATs and CAPE and broken iPhones and broken relationships and "ugh, you guys should just get together already", but today was a much needed breath of fresh air.
My friend took me out for doubles and raw juice. At around 12:15PM, he pulled up and drove me to the complex. On the way, as we drove on the coast with the music blasting and AC on to the highest, I felt a new and exciting kind of joy.
After he bought the food and we ate, we passed a chocolatier, where we stopped and bought macarons and spoke about silly things like the future.
We went for a drive after, to the countryside. With my seat rolled back and wind blowing through my (omg did I tell you that I cut my) hair, he asked me if I had had a good time, and I could only smile then.
I learnt today, that friendship is more than just parties and long conversations, but being with people who make sure you eat every day, even if you don't care to.
