I tend to find that in the make-up world, not all products are equal. Sometimes it’s necessary to spend a little more. But other times, there are pricy products that are not worth the extra moola. Instead of wasting your money on products that are not worth their price tag, you could save and buy something at half the cost that works ten times better. That way you can afford to splurge on the products that are really worth it.

This Week, the “Song of the Week” is by an artist who I’m sure some people know just based off of her hit “OctaHate” which has definitely been making rounds on the radio recently. The artist is Ryn Weaver, and I downloaded her most recent album “The Fool” on a whim. My current favorite, and also slight obsession, on the album is “New Constellations.”

In honor of the music video coming out this past Sunday, the song of the week is “Wildest Dreams” by Taylor Swift. Now I know not everybody loves Taylor, but I do. I really, really do. I relate to her music and I never get tired of listening to it. I fell in love with 1989 the minute it was released (or maybe even before that, seeing as I pre-ordered it), from “Welcome To New York” to “Clean.” I love every second of it.

Now the title of this post may seem a little misleading, because not all of the companies are brand new. However, they have either just recently entered the spotlight (as far as I can tell) or are actually a new company that was founded within the last five years. At any rate, here is the low down on two, new-on-the-scene companies with fabulous products that you should keep an eye out for.

One fine afternoon while stuffing my face with Chinese food (because who doesn’t like Chinese Food?) I got a text from a friend of mine that read, “You should write a blog post about Abercrombie’s comeback.” I read the words once or twice, thinking back to the Abercrombie & Fitch of my youth. I shuddered at the thought. But I had heard recently that Abercrombie was trying to reinvent themselves, so I thought I would give their new clothes a look. I hadn’t looked at anything Abercrombie in at least 6 or 7 years, probably longer. So when I pulled up the website I had to say I was pretty shocked.

I have seen this method on Pinterest recently, but I didn’t learn it there, I learned it from a friend of mine and I have to say it is a genius way to do your hair. It’s called the “Tuck and Cover” (at least, that’s what people seem to be calling it on the internet so I decided to go with the flow) and now, instead of always pulling my hair back haphazardly into a ponytail or a half-assed messy bun, I can use this little trick. It’s a quick and easy way to do your hair without expending too much effort. It looks fancy and like you spent forever doing it, but it doesn’t take longer than 5 minutes (10 if you’re a perfectionist).

StyleCaster Daily sent out an email about Fall’s Coolest Color Combo; pale pink and orange. I have to say, these are two colors I never though would look good together. I feel like they’re similar, definitely from the same color family and always thought that they might clash. My friends, I was wrong. They just work together, and I can’t explain why. But I won’t get caught up in the why because I could give myself a headache doing that. No, I’m here to focus on the what; pale pink and orange as fall’s best color combo.

Well, friends, if you haven’t noticed after reading this post, I’ve been slightly obsessed with Rose Gold and Baylayage for the past few weeks. This all started when I took a PlayBuzz quiz… no I’m not kidding. This PlayBuzz quiz to be specific, about what trendy color you should dye your hair. I wasn’t planning on dyeing my hair before the quiz, but when I got rose gold, I thought, “Huh. That’s pretty. I would like to use that color for my hair at some point.” I had never even heard of rose gold hair before that. So I started looking up pictures and I liked what I saw, specifically the ombre and baylayage hairstyles.
