1. What inspired you to pursue your career and/or start your company? What was the process of starting your company or your career in your industry?

My Dad always expressed the importance of owning you own business, being a leader and striving to be your own boss. The older I got the more I understood the importance in what he was telling me and joy of having my own business would provide.
I have always had a strong passion for creating. I started baking (cupcakes/cookies/cakes/ etc...) when I was part of the PTA for my oldest daughter. After a few times of providing cupcakes for various events, parents began to ask me how much they cost.
When I was younger and working in restaurants, one key lesson that I learned was that the first taste is with the eyes. If it doesn’t look good, it’s hard to get someone excited to taste it. The more I wanted my cupcakes to taste good; I also needed them to look just as pretty... The joy that a dessert brings into a party is special. I strive to do my part by customizing desserts that gives me the opportunity to be a part of the celebration as well as make my clients feel special.


Why/Where Signed Sweetness N Charm… I feel charmed by everything vintage and all that is behind the process, such as the personalization and details. I am one of those people who believes in the power of sending a beautifully written letter as a gift. My company and signature cupcakes were designed based on this concept and was created as a representation of each client’s signature.
