Design, code, test and implement application programs. Provide technical consultation to identify and implement technologies to assist functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives. Research, evaluate and recommend efficient application programming solutions. Provide input to management on project plans throughout the application development cycle. Implement solutions to solve complex problems associated with computer equipment, capacity, limitations and performance. Develop secure automated reporting applications using multithreaded programming in Java. Write code to interface with quantitative risk models to generate and publish prices for options clearing. Transfer application business, systems and architectural knowledge to junior application developers. Participate in code reviews and application transition to support team. Develop and leverage automation tools to provide a faster time to market for delivery of project solutions, including rapid prototyping and architecting pricing models capable of processing large (terabyte+) data sets.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
Five (5) years of experience in application program development
Must have some experience in each of the following: 1) Developing secure automated reporting applications using multithreaded programming in Java; and 2) Writing code to interface with quantitative risk models to generate and publish prices for options clearing; and 3) Rapid prototyping and architecting pricing models capable of processing large (terabyte+) data sets.
