    Mercer University C/O 2021

Since 2015, I have served as a volunteer band coach and bass instructor with Girls Rock Athens as part of their week-long summer day camp promoting music education and female empowerment among underprivileged youth. In 2017, I took on an intern position involving year-round marketing, blogging and grant-writing. I am currently helping to design and implement a podcast. In high school, I wrote and edited for my high school newspaper, The Spartan Review. I was accepted to write for Affinity Magazine during my second semester of senior year and contributed an average of two articles per week. Next, I applied to write for Women's Republic and was expected to produce one article per week on a topic related to women’s rights and female empowerment. I stayed with Affinity from May to July and WR from May to September 2017. In May, the publisher of a new online magazine geared towards recognizing and empowering millennials who do big things, Step Up Magazine, reached out to me and offered me a summer internship writing and creating content for the website, magazine, and blog. I wrote about politics, women’s rights, college, and science. I also spent the summer freelancing and have contributed to the Genetic Literacy Project, Sprout Literary Magazine, Curieux Academic Journal, Rantt News, Athena Talks, the Opposition, and Vocal Media. I was also made a paid contributor for UK-based publication Politics Means Politics and hired to produce content through Livingston Research. In college, I was hired by the school newspaper, The Cluster, to cover Student Government Association meetings each week as well as one additional story per issue. I wrote a front-page story as a recently hired freshman.
