 2. Look at the situation objectively. Easy for me to say because I am not in your shoes. However, "my boyfriend is brown" is not enough to educate an ignorant person. We must focus on the major issue - the fact that people think this way of a population - and try to gear away from our personal relationships/situation. What if your boyfriend wasn't brown? Wouldn't you still stand for what is right? 

3. Good that you used your privilege to have this conversation with that person, but some people will never get it. As a black woman I am still trying to make peace with that.
