Aimee Carrero is a break out star providing authenticity and power to each role.
Aimee Carrero currently stars as Sofia Rodriguez in the hit FREEFORM show “Young & Hungry” which is currently shooting it’s 5th season. The series is executive produced by Ashley Tisdale, and Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, along with David Holden, Jessica Rhoades, and Caryn Lucas. Additionally, Carrero is the title voice character, Princess Elena, in the hit DISNEY show, “Elena of Avalor”.
Her past work includes playing Lucia, a Southern American Freedom Fighting in the second season of THE AMERICANS on FX. In Addition, Carrero has appeared in several other ABC Family shows with roles in LINCOLN HEIGHTS, GREEK and BABY DADDY. She was a series regular on Cartoon Network's LEVEL UP and has guest starred on shows such as THE MENTALIST, THE MIDDLE, ZEKE AND LUTHER, HANNAH MONTANA, MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE and BLUE LAGOON: THE AWAKENING.
On the big screen, Carrero was most recently seen in DEVIL'S DUE as Emily. The film follows a newlywed couple who find themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. It soon becomes evident the circumstances have a much more sinister origin.
In 2012, Carrero appeared in her first off-Broadway show, WHAT RHYMES WITH AMERICA at the Atlantic Theater Company. VARIETY's Marilyn Stasio said she played the role with “snappy wit and a crackling intelligence.”
Carrero is fluent in Spanish and currently resides in LA.
