Responsibilities include: the strategic development, implementation, and management of standard best-in-class sourcing, recruitment, physician temporary staffing (i.e., locum tenens), onboarding, and retention processes; as well as, performance data analytics reporting to system leadership.
Allan leads Physician, Advanced Practice Provider, and Executive Talent Acquisition for SSM Health – a faith-based, mission-focused Catholic health system with 11,000+ providers and 40,000 employees.
Nationally recognized, Allan provides innovative recruitment strategies to enhance SSM Health’s competitive advantage for hiring exceptional talent. He and his team of leaders are responsible for best-in-class recruitment practices and temporary staffing for their 23 hospitals, 290+ physician offices, 10 post-acute facilities, homecare and hospice services, a pharmacy benefit company, a health insurance company and an accountable-care organization. Together, they recruit 350+ providers annually.
Allan’s career began in 2001 with a national physician and executive search firm. There, his visionary business acumen earned him national recognition and citations by leading industry advisory boards, associations, organizations and publications throughout the United States. He is a frequently sought speaker for his forward-thinking strategies and technical prowess, having spoken at several national, keynote address forums. His operational experience and strong business relationships, coupled with his analytical approach to success, provides a unique advantage aligning effective recruitment initiatives with tomorrow’s vision of healthcare delivery.
