Melanie Notkin is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, marketer and leading voice of childless, often single, women. Notkin is the founder of SAVVY AUNTIE®, the lifestyle brand designed for the rising demographic of child-loving non-moms she dubbed PANK® (Professional Aunts No Kids) and which she launched in 2008. In 2009, Notkin founded Auntie's Day®, the first national day to honor and celebrate aunts and godmothers. Her first book, SAVVY AUNTIE: The Ultimate Guide for Cool Aunts, Great-Aunts, Godmothers and All Women Who Love Kids (2011) was a Wall Street Journal best-seller. In 2012, Savvy Auntie and Weber Shandwick co-released “The Power of the PANK,” the North American study on the PANK demographic. In 2014, her reported memoir on the lives of modern single, childless women, Otherhood: Modern Women Finding a New Kind of Happiness, received a Booklist Starred Review and inspired her work with DeVries Global PR on a national demographic study of all non-moms entitled: “Shades of Otherhood.
