My daughter had to adopt a gluten- and dairy-free diet more than five years ago. It's tough at first, but eventually reading food labels and peppering food servers with questions in restaurants will become second nature. I would check with your university to find out if there are any groups on campus where you can connect with other students with food allergies or sensitivities. If not, consider starting one yourself. Magazines like Gluten Free and More have lots of recipes and information on how to deal with food allergies. There are Apps you can download that will list restaurants in your area that offer gluten-free options. If you have time to cook for yourself, that's the best way to cut costs. Just make sure you're not sharing items like toasters with a gluten-consuming roommate to avoid cross-contamination. There are lots of gluten-free and vegan blogs where you can find recipes. Boneless, skinless chicken dipped in crushed tortilla chips (dip in water first and you won't need egg to make them stick) or quinoa mixed with diced vegetables and a few spices were favorites in my house. For a snack, try sprinkling some nutritional yeast on popcorn. The nutritional yeast will give the popcorn a cheesy taste, and it's loaded with vitamins. And never leave the house without a snack so you'll have something safe to eat wherever you are--dried fruit, nuts or a gluten free bar can be lifesavers.

Dear @Ami Nakrani , all I am going to say is that the only person you should be afraid to disappoint is YOURSELF. Everyone else's expectation is secondary (polite way of saying screw them). I am a commerce graduate who was pursuing her plans to enter law school. But, after a year of tug and pull with exams and preps and everything, I decided to chuck it all. And, I decided to do what I actually loved doing but had no experience in it whatsoever, it was writing. Fast forward it to a few years later, and I was an editor that dealt with the finance sector. My commerce degree helped me in better understanding the fiscal concepts compared to most of my 'Mass Media Graduate' colleagues at work. My 'Different' degree was what gave me an edge. Remember one thing always, your educational background is suppose to enable you, not hold you back. Your degrees do not define your career, your grit and work does. Best of Luck! :)

I am a junior and I feel like I should have an answer to this, but I don't. I have many dreams as well but none of them are very specific. When they ask "why did I choose my major?", the truth is that I wanted a major that would give me freedom to do a lot in the future.

Hi there, I love poetry as well. I am a big Bukowski fan - for his writing, some of his life choices are questionable. I've been meaning to read Brautigan. I will definitely give you a follow. I have a poetry blog as well - @literarypixie. I go to lots of poetry events and festivals. My favorite poets are Joanne Kyger, Denise Levertov, Liz Lochhead, and sooo many.

I definitely do think that men do need relearning. I've been groped without consent and even coerced or guilt tripped into hooking up with a guy. I just feel like a lot of men especially when intoxicated just don't have any boundaries.

I had to share this with you all. This is the most powerful performance I've heard in my life. His vocals and the emotion behind it have me chills the entire time he sang. I don't know a lot about music, but I know that this young man is talented beyond belief.
