About me
Hello! My name is Alicia and I am a writer from New Jersey. I write on how drug addiction directly affects families as well as a myriad of other topics. My work has been published all over the tri-state area in newspapers, in a variety of student and university magazines, as well as in on-line publications like the Huffington Post, CNN, USA Today and other Gannett publications, Thirty on Tap, and hundreds of Addiction blogs.
I post small bits of writing nearly every day on my Instagram account. My series ,“The Other Side of Addiction,” has developed a worldwide readership.
2016 has been a crazy year so far! I pay a mortgage now, for one. I turned THIRTY in April (oh man!) I am officially represented by Byrd Leavell of Waxman Leavell Literary Agency; my book has remained in the top 10 on Amazon under “women authors” since its release in January; Teen Vogue highlighted me as one of the ten Instagram poets to follow; the Financial Diet listed me in their list of “12 Professional Twenty-Somethings;” and I will star in an upcoming episode of the Emmy nominated documentary series, Here’s the Story, this fall. Oh, and one of my pieces on drug addiction, published on Addiction Unscripted, was read over one million times in just under two months.
