An expert in education technology, the sharing economy, personalised learning, startups and innovation, educational trends, e-learning, crowdsourcing and disruptive trends.
Being half Arabic, my goal has always been to be a part of the growth and development in the Middle East. As a woman and a teacher, my dream is to contribute to world wide educational reform, by breaking down barriers to learning and improving how we transfer and understand knowledge.
I have a passion for education as well as an interest in user interface design, trend spotting, psychology, and digital marketing. My combined interests and background has lead me to my second venture known as Teach Me Now (www.teachmenow.com) under the company EdTech Solutions.
My passion for education accelerated when I started teaching students with learning disabilities. These students faced ADHD and dyslexia, and were in their final year of the IB Diploma.
Within a few months of adaptive teaching, the students were receiving above average results! Their teacher was shocked that this had actually worked. During this process I created games for them, and was soon to realise that this was a real hit.
As I too became more addicted to my smartphone and apps, I recognised how modern technology could help streamline this transfer of knowledge in an efficient and simple way. The games that I created for my students, inspired me to develop the worlds first gamified educational app covering high school material.
This continues to inspire me and further my belief that education should and will become more accessible through modern technology. I find that the thirst for knowledge and willingness to learn is universal. My experiences and background have lead me to believe that anyone can teach, and everyone can learn, and am continuing to pursue that belief through building Teach Me Now (www.teachmenow.com).
