About me
I was only six years old when I decided I would be a writer and editor, and over the past 18 years, nothing has come along that could make me change my mind. My quick wit, strong opinions, and love for the written word make me a writer by nature. My passion for editing grew out of a desire to help others experience the magic of bringing their ideas to life on the page.
I am driven by my belief in the importance of fostering human connection. As I completed my degree in professional writing at York University, I learned that this profession is as much about collaboration, compromise, and impact as it is about the expression of ideas. Working as Editor-in-Chief of my alma mater’s second largest student-run publication showed me the importance of true teamwork and compassionate leadership. Creating a connection between the writer, the words, and the audience are always at the forefront of my mind whether I am writing for myself or other publications, or working with clients.
In all I do, I aim for my best. Having graduated cum laude from my degree program, I know that all great achievements require hard work and I am never afraid to go the extra mile. As a perfectionist, I hold myself to high standards, and I believe that no task is too small to be done well.
I believe in the importance of using the gifts and skills I’ve acquired to have a positive and lasting impact on the people and things I interact with. Whether that’s generating thousands of page views for a publication, helping a writer untangle their ideas, or giving a student the tools to improve their writing and their grades, being able to assist others in achieving their goals is one of my greatest drivers.
