It is a word used quite often whenever there are changes within a corporation that is many times accompanied by layoffs.

What if there was a way to actually downsize your body and as a result of doing so, your whole life changed.  Would this be a good thing or bad thing?  The movie DOWNSIZING gives the answer to the question.

DOWNSIZING imagines what might happen if, as a solution to over-population, Norwegian scientists discover how to shrink humans to five inches tall and propose a 200-year global transition from big to small. People soon realize how much further money goes into a miniaturized world, and with the promise of a better life, everyman Paul Safranek (Matt Damon) and wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to abandon their stressed lives in Omaha in order to get small and move to a new downsized community — a choice that triggers life-changing adventures.

DOWNSIZING stars Matt Damon, Hong Chau, Neil Patrick Harris, Kristen Wiig, Christoph Waltz and Jason Sedakis.  The film is produced by Mark Johnson and the screenwriter is Jim Taylor.

The film is released in theaters on Friday, December 22, 2017.

wow this sounds fascinating. I wonder @Judith Davis how many people in real life would sign up to get smaller? I feel like height is such a huge factor in society, am I wrong?

I wouldn't sign up at all because it is irreversible, but the story did have a good concept.
