This past New York Fashion Week, Pamella Roland once again partnered with ARTISTRY for her SS17 runway show. She mentioned that the “collection is inspired by my travels to places like Positano — it's relaxed and beach. It makes me think of blue skies and glistening beaches, so the pieces are formal but have an aura of vacation." To go along with this inspiration, Rick DiCecca, Global Makeup Artist for ARTISTRY chose a soft, everyday makeup look that can work for the daytime or nighttime. He stated that "Spring is lighter and more relaxed, so I've created a makeup look that is formal yet feminine." The skin certainly glows with beautifully subtle components for a light, dewy complexion.
In terms of the products used, Rick mentions that "I used a regenerating moisturizer for a sheer, fresh face with CC cream to illuminate and contour, and shimmery shades of eye shadow in place of eye liner for a bright, refreshing finish." Specifically, he used Artistry Supreme LX Regenerating Cream and Regenerating Eye Cream, Artistry Ideal Radiance Illuminating CC Cream, Artistry Signature Color Eye Shadow Quad in Pink Chocolate and Plumberry, and Artistry Signature Color Lipstick in Red Kiss. It’s a hydrated, radiant look that’s easy to incorporate into your daily routine and will help rejuvenate your skin on an ongoing basis.
Along with this beautiful makeup look, the models wore soft updos by Marshall Lin for Fekkai and stunning eveningwear pieces for the runway. Favorite looks included a white strapless crepe jumpsuit with pearl inserts, a white off-the-shoulder gown with flat pearl embroidery, a light blue and white confetti ombre embroidered organza gown, a white jacquard cocktail dress and coat with pearl embroidery, a champagne and smoke ombre embroidered lace gown with an open back, and a black stretch faile gown with pearl and crystal embroidery. What an impressively beautiful collection!
