My name is Michelle and I am the President of Mogul at Cornell. This summer, I am at Mogul HQ in NYC, getting first-hand experience on what happens at Mogul! I will be documenting my fun experiences with an exciting new series called "MyMogulDiaries".
Let's start with my first week at Mogul!
The first thing that I saw on my first day was the building. Hearst Tower is where Mogul HQ is located, and of course, it was just as amazing as the company itself. I absolutely loved its geometric and reflective architecture! Not to mention, it also looks amazing on the inside as well.
On my third day of work, it was was also coincidently Mogul's third birthday! To celebrate, Mogul treated everyone to an unlimited shopping spree at Barnes & Noble. It was undoubtedly the best part of my day. I have never felt so spoiled! I loved how Mogul picked Barnes & Noble as the shopping destination, as it aligns with Mogul's mission of giving women access to knowledge and information. Mogul gave its employees the gift of knowledge though books, which I think is the best gift ever!
Here is the Mogul team after our massive shopping spree at B&N (the employees were very curious why 15 people showed up at 9am on a Monday morning and practically bought out their entire store) :D
The festivities didn't end there!
After work that day, we had a birthday celebration in the office, complete with a Mogul Birthday Cake! It was amazing to bond with the team and reflect upon the many accomplishments the company has achieved in a short 3 years.
But wait... the fun doesn't end yet!
After our birthday celebration, we went out to an amazing Italian restaurant, Il Corso, to have a birthday dinner. Again, everyone was spoiled by the amazing food there. I think I tried at least 6 different dishes!
Here are a few of the amazing dishes that I tried!
After dinner, I was SO FULL with all the delicious food from the day. I was, and still am, so grateful for the generosity that Mogul has shown me–-not only through the amazing birthday festivities, but also for the warm welcome and inclusion I felt immediately after joining the team.
I can't wait for the rest of summer and everything that comes next!
Here is a bonus photo of Pho we had on Friday!
