Savanah was born near the Washington D.C area and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she now resides in Tucson Arizona for her Journalism & Spanish education. As a second generation Bolivian-American who loves both Hamburgers and Silpancho, her Spanish heritage will always be apart of her life as she hopes to reach out to the Latin-American community through her Journalism career.
If you find Savanah on campus, you can find her somewhere in-between inspiring others, working on herself, swerving negativity and reaching her goals! However most days, she will likely have a Yerba Mate energy tea in her hand while rushing to interview people for news stories in-between classes. During the school year she works for The Daily Wildcat, which is the campus newspaper at The University of Arizona. Reporting is a new skill set that she has gained this past 2017 year, but she hopes to expand in different journalism mediums like Graphic Design, Broadcast, Videography, Photography, Editing and Blogging.
One of Savanah's dream jobs is to edit and contribute to a well-known and progressive magazine. By incorporating her love for writing and her passion for Arts and Design, writing for a fashion, food, health or news magazine is something she hopes to be doing in the near future. She also has her eyes on Broadcasting, which is a new field she intends on exploring in 2018 through internships. Overall, Savanah just started her journalism career at the University of Arizona and finds adoration in every area of news reporting and story telling.
Since she was a child, Savanah always had a passion for writing by expressing her feelings and thoughts on paper. Eventually, her parents grew tired of constantly buying journals to write in because she would fill up every.single.one. Typically, she would find solace in writing in a notebook which helped her through many challenging times. For Savanah, writing was always a way for her to have a voice when she didn't feel like she was being heard, which is why she is so passionate about helping others do the same. It took a long time for her to develop a voice and now that she has it, she will never be silent again.
Lately with politics and tragedies around the world, it has been difficult to stay optimistic. Since the media constantly offers upsetting news, she hopes to shed light and write about the many solutions and admirable things life has to offer!
As a President for Mogul, one of Savanah's main goals is to make sure every woman who works with her knows that their voices and brands can change the world. Believing in your talents and your self-worth can empower you to become the best version of yourself and can inspire others to do the same. Women are stronger together and she is very grateful to have the opportunity to make more women shine in the world.
