It's time to face the race. Man-made barriers and walls built up and maintained all because one person looked different from another; all because maybe one person didn't quite understand the person next to them. These man-made barricades have been slowly demolished over time, but there are still some spots where the walls are going strong. Those walls need to come down for good.
Here's how I look at it:
If you were to take a Caucasian woman, an African American woman, an Asian woman, a Hispanic woman, you name it, and line them all up, you would see that they all have the same body. Different shapes and sizes, yes, but they all have two arms, two legs, ten fingers and ten toes. Eyes, ears, a mouth, a nose. Take a deeper look inside, each of these people have a brain full of ideas, visions, and dreams. They each have a beating heart, lungs, kidneys...the point is that they all have the exact same anatomy. The only difference is that they each have their own beautiful ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds.
So, why are we building up these walls to separate us from our own kind? There is one race, and that is the Human Race. Why are we not celebrating our different ethnicities and cultures? Each one has something different and beautiful that we can learn so much from. To kick off Mogul's #FACETHERACE campaign, let's keep this in mind. When you truly put it into perspective, we are all one.
Let me know your thoughts on this in the comments below, I would love to hear what you all think about this issue! Communication is key.
