BUILDING AN INVITING LIGHT-FILLED VENICE TOWNHOUSE WITH HOME BUILDERS: LA DESIGN BUILD

Not many townhouses these days are created with dark furnishings, touches of bright colors, and rustic wood cabinetry. This beautiful townhouse in Venice is making a bold statement because not only does it have all of those features, but it has some contemporary finishes as well. This masterpiece is completed by the team at LA Design Build, lead by the CEO & founder Armin Missaghi.

The style of this three-bedroom with three-and-a-half bathroom townhouse has a very modern look to it, yet it is very cozy and makes you feel at home. Meeting a client's expectations is especially easier when you have a great working partner. LA Design Build partnered with designer Mandy Cheng, where they both sat down to select the framework for renovating the home based on the client’s core fundamentals, of which major architectural elements were to be added such as brick walls, wood beams, and plank hardwood floors. Although it’s a fairly standard townhouse layout, it sure stands out above the rest.

During the build, they decided to go with relaxed furniture and décor because it adds a warm yet sophisticated vibe to the house. Take a look at the tour of this inside this gorgeous, one of a kind townhouse.

The clients absolutely love rustic touches, boho pieces, and reclaimed wood, so as to why the builders at LA Design Build made sure to include these essentials in the build. The result is a beautiful, modern, yet rustic light filled townhouse in Venice.

Guests that would arrive at the home were also cleverly thought of with the guest room including a luggage rack, bench, leaning clothes rack, and a console dresser.

Now we take a look inside what makes this townhouse so unique and marvelous; the kitchen. Prior to renovation the kitchen had an uninviting atmosphere and did not showcase as an appropriate gathering space for business and personal matters for the client. The builders completely restructured the whole flow of the kitchen and the kitchen island by turning the kitchen 90 degrees, which in turn created more space and a more inviting space.

Due to the house before the renovation being very dark, they decided to paint the walls and ceilings a warm white color so it wouldn’t absorb the light, but reflect it. After the walls and floors were done, they chose touches of bright complementing colors that can be found in nature.

Now we step inside the astonishing master bathroom. It contains a luxurious freestanding tub, with rustic brick walls juxtaposing elegant gold hardware, and wood cabinets. Every time you walk in the bathroom you will not get bored of its simplicity, yet never get enough of its richness.

This townhouse in Venice is a wonderful execution at having the client feel and confidently call home. You get the best of both worlds; modern and rustic. “I think the key is to design spaces that flow well, aren’t complicated, and to keep it simple yet luxurious. Once all of these ideas are in place you are left with something extraordinary and timeless.” says Missaghi.
