      In its common form that you get in the US and most countries in the west its just a dried leaf from the tree Mytragyna Speciosa(AKA Kratom). If you get it plain its all natural. There are some products on the market in the US and other places that have blended the leaf or extracted alkaloids with other herbs and chemicals though, one should really make sure to understand what may be in those or avoid them. Its a pretty amazing plant.

      Now just being natural doesn't mean there is no risk with it. It still can be habit forming because of how it works and for some that don't practice moderation it can be as uncomfortable as a large caffeine habit which is very uncomfortable for many.
